Expert Main Shutoff Valve in Corona, CA

Your main shutoff valve is the single control that stops all water flowing into your home. When it fails, sticks, or leaks, you lose the ability to protect your property in an emergency. We are a family-owned, California-licensed, insured, and bonded plumbing company. We give you upfront pricing before any work begins, so there are no surprises. Hard water is common throughout the Inland Empire, including Corona, Norco, and Eastvale. Mineral buildup from hard water can corrode valve components and cause older gate valves to seize. Many homes in the area still have aging gate valves that no longer close fully. We inspect the valve, the surrounding pipe, and the access point, then walk you through your options. Call us to schedule a main shutoff valve assessment for your Corona home.

Main Shutoff Valve FAQ

Common questions about main shutoff valve in Corona, CA.

Your main shutoff valve likely needs attention if the handle is stiff, the valve leaks around the stem, or it no longer fully stops water flow. Visible mineral buildup or corrosion on the valve body is also a clear warning sign for Corona homeowners.

In most Corona homes, the main shutoff valve sits where the water supply line enters the house, often near the garage, utility room, or exterior wall closest to the street. If you cannot locate it, a plumber can find and clearly mark it for you.

Replacement is usually the right call when the valve will not fully close, shows significant corrosion, or has broken internal parts. A plumber serving the Inland Empire can inspect the valve and tell you which option applies to your situation.

Yes, hard water is common across the Inland Empire, including Corona, and the minerals it carries build up inside valve components over time. This buildup can cause valves to seize or fail to close fully, making proactive inspection a smart step for local homeowners.

A leaking or stuck main shutoff valve should be addressed as soon as possible because it may fail completely when you need it most. Homeowners in Eastvale, Norco, and across the Corona area should call a licensed plumber to assess the valve before a small issue becomes a larger problem.

My shower was broken and spraying water out of the handle. I got the run around and quoted really high pricing by some other plumbing companies for over a week. Called these guys and they had a tech out in no time. Ryan fixed the problem and replaced the valve in less than an hour, all the while explaining to me what the issue was and the cost for repair (which was a lot more reasonable than some of the other quotes I got). I am definitely going to be using this company again if I need any more plumbing work done.

Michael arrived timely and was extremely kind, knowledgeable and effective. He was honest in explaining that the gas company should not have turned off my gas and the furnace wasn't broken. He tested it and it was running in a matter of minutes. I regret having to spend a fee for a diagnosis that it isn't broken. ( He did give a discount) I appreciate the kindness, experience and ability to allow us to have a warm home again. I would highly recommend this company over any other for future use.

Jeff is a phenomenal plumber. He came out and worked late into the evening to fix a hot slab leak within the wall. He completed a heavy duty job with reasonable prices. Jeff is a people person and is very professional. Jeff told me he started his plumber trade by age 20 yrs. He is very knowledgeable and insightful regarding plumbing/leaking issues behind the kitchen wall. Thank you Jeff for taking care of this matter so efficiently. I will definitely call you again. Thank you Ram Plumbing and heating company staff!!!

They did a great job! We were out of town and told the hot water heater was leaking. I called Ram Plumbing in Corona and David stayed late to install a new heater. He did an outstanding job and got us up to current codes plus a a fair price.

We had an emergency issue with our home water heater. All of the sudden it started leaking to a point that we got very concerned about water damage to our house. We did a quick internet search for an emergency Corona plumber and came across RAM Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning. These guys responded so quickly that we were impressed right up front. They detected the cause of the water heater leak almost immediately and repair was made within couple of hours. Great customer service and workmanship. They definitely deserve five stars based on our experience!
