Expert Water Heater Repair and Installation in Corona, CA

When your water heater stops working, daily routines in your Corona home come to a halt. RAM Plumbing Htg & Air repairs and installs tank and tankless water heaters for residential properties throughout the area. We diagnose common problems including no hot water, leaking tanks, pilot light failures, inconsistent temperatures, and rumbling noises caused by sediment. Corona's water supply measures between 12 and 18 grains per gallon of hardness. That mineral load accelerates sediment buildup inside tank-style units, forces heating elements to work harder, and depletes anode rods faster than in softer-water markets. Left unchecked, this shortens unit life and raises energy costs. Every service call starts with a thorough inspection. We check the heating element, thermostat, T&P valve, anode rod, and all connections before recommending repair or replacement. California seismic code also requires water heaters to be properly strapped and braced. We install and repair to code on every job. Call RAM Plumbing Htg & Air to schedule water heater service in Corona today.

Water Heater Repair and Installation FAQ

Common questions about water heater repair and installation in Corona, CA.

If your unit has a single failed part and is not heavily corroded, repair is usually the right call. A Corona water heater showing rust-colored water, recurring leaks, or repeated failures is typically a better candidate for replacement.

Those sounds come from mineral sediment settling at the bottom of your tank. Corona's hard water deposits calcium and magnesium faster than in softer-water areas, and the buildup heats and cracks under the burner.

Yes, we install tankless water heaters in Corona homes and handle all gas, water, and venting connections. Tankless units in this area also need periodic descaling because of the local hard water.

Leaks most often come from a faulty T&P valve, corroded tank walls, a worn drain valve, or loose supply connections. Corona's hard water speeds up internal tank corrosion, which is a leading cause of tank leaks here.

Yes, California code requires water heaters to be strapped and braced. Corona sits in seismically active Riverside County, so proper strapping is a code requirement on every installation we complete.

Annual flushing is the standard recommendation, but Corona's high mineral content often makes more frequent service worthwhile. Regular flushing removes sediment that reduces efficiency and accelerates tank wear.

My shower was broken and spraying water out of the handle. I got the run around and quoted really high pricing by some other plumbing companies for over a week. Called these guys and they had a tech out in no time. Ryan fixed the problem and replaced the valve in less than an hour, all the while explaining to me what the issue was and the cost for repair (which was a lot more reasonable than some of the other quotes I got). I am definitely going to be using this company again if I need any more plumbing work done.

Michael arrived timely and was extremely kind, knowledgeable and effective. He was honest in explaining that the gas company should not have turned off my gas and the furnace wasn't broken. He tested it and it was running in a matter of minutes. I regret having to spend a fee for a diagnosis that it isn't broken. ( He did give a discount) I appreciate the kindness, experience and ability to allow us to have a warm home again. I would highly recommend this company over any other for future use.

Jeff is a phenomenal plumber. He came out and worked late into the evening to fix a hot slab leak within the wall. He completed a heavy duty job with reasonable prices. Jeff is a people person and is very professional. Jeff told me he started his plumber trade by age 20 yrs. He is very knowledgeable and insightful regarding plumbing/leaking issues behind the kitchen wall. Thank you Jeff for taking care of this matter so efficiently. I will definitely call you again. Thank you Ram Plumbing and heating company staff!!!

They did a great job! We were out of town and told the hot water heater was leaking. I called Ram Plumbing in Corona and David stayed late to install a new heater. He did an outstanding job and got us up to current codes plus a a fair price.
